Teething and diarrhoea?

Is there any link between teething and diarrhoea? Looking online there's conflicting information... on the nhs website it says there is no evidence to suggest that teething causes it however, nearly everyone I ask says there little one suffered from it when they were teething. It's coming up to 2 weeks now my baby is having up to 5 lots of it a day! mainly watery and they are leaking out every time but she seems perfectly fine in herself and isn't that fussy with her food or milk. She's nearly 11 months and has no teeth yet but she is teething now as she's biting everything. I'm just concerned about this going on for so long I took her to the doctors last Monday and they said hopefully it should pass soon useless!
Thanks x

I can only say exactly what you've said. Apparently there's no evidence of a direct link but we certainly found it was a symptom as had every other mother I've spoken to. So I'd say a cautious yes but obviously keep an eye on her and if it continues take her back to your GP. Just keep her hydrated plenty and see if it hopefully passes with the teething
