Activities to help 10 mo wind down

Ds is a marvellous, playful, curious little man... but he is basically ‘on’ all the time, meaning it’s really hard to help him wind down for naps and bedtime so I’m sure he often ends up over tired. We just tried having a story in a dark room with calm music playing but he ended up throwing the book behind the radiator and then crawling around trying to pull down the blackout blind!

Any suggestions for ways of helping him relax?

How many naps is he having OP? Mine always had difficulty when they were about to drop a nap. Can you tell us where he naps as well?

He's on 2 naps, usually one after 3 hours of being awake for about 30-60 mins and then one about 3.5 hours after he wakes from that one for 1-1.5 hours. He sleeps much better in bed than pram or sling these days so I always try to get home for afternoon nap as he'll only do 30 mins out and about. He self settles for his naps and at bedtime but is nowhere near sleeping through at night!

It's hard to know if he's so wired because he's too tired or too awake!

I’ve just remembered this book. I think this may be what you’re after Smile
