Teeth grinding

My nine month old daughter has started grinding her teeth quite a lot! She has six lovely fresh teeth and I'm worried they're going to get damaged . Has anyone else had experience with this?

My DD is 2.5 now and has also grinded her teeth from that similar age. All her teeth look fine but urgh I can't stand the sound it's horrific and so loud! I'm going to check it out with the dentist when we go for her first visit as it's always been a worry for me too.

@NML2286 thank you for your reply. Good to know her teeth might be ok in the end. I love started giving her a dummy when I catch her doing it (whole other bad habit but not as bad as her teeth being damaged) hopefully she won't keep doing it though !

Yes both mine did it when they got teeth top and bottom but it didn't last too long. I've seen other threads here of people saying the same so must be quite common. The noise drove me batty though Confused

Apparently it's normal for kids to grind their teeth. My 7 year old has done it for over 2 years with no teeth issues.
Mention it when go to dentist but don't worry too much. Apparently it's very common in kids! I had no idea.
The dentist told me this.
