Anyone know any different ways to do tummy time? My son is 3 months old and he is strong with his head,he just can't hold it up for long. He's getting frustrated because he wants to keep his head up and he also wants to sit up and roll over.

He isn't too keen when I put him on his changing mat to do tummy time. He likes being lay over my knees but I'm just wondering if there's any other ways to do tummy time x

You can buy tummy time pillows which will prop him up

My DS was the same at 3 months. Absolutely hated tummy time and would cry after about 10 seconds. He didn't mind tummy time over my knee and we also tried to use the tummy roller as above but not for long.
Now at 20 weeks he has suddenly mastered rolling and doesn't mind it so much.

I ordered a mat (bright starts) which is a cushion attached to a play mat with toys attached to that, my little one hated tummy time (I normally rolled a blanked up and put him over that) but he mush prefers the toys to look at and I also lay opposite him so he can see me for a bit of reassurance and it's worked wonders. Hope this helps.

Try flying them round, so when your standing hold them tummy down and sway around, my 3 month DS gets frustrated when he’s on his mat but when he’s up high getting swooshed around it keeps him distracted to make it last a while. We’re getting a lot of dribble on the floor now!

Use a gym ball, you can start him in what would look like a standing position then roll to have him more on his tummy. You can alter how flat he is.

The rolls are good.. a rolled up towel works just as well.
