Just answered the phone and my 3 year old just launched into a full asault on me. He threw a chair and table at me three times.
Ive got a wopping briuse and cut on my leg and a huge bruise on my hip.
He was smiling as he did it.

Ive put him in his room with the door shut.

As soon as i picked him up after work he started to kick and hit me and wouldnt stop.

Why why why why?

What did he eat/drink for dinner?
What has he been watching on tv this afternoon?

Sugarfree · 30/05/2007 19:12

Oh,I just reread your post and see that you picked him up after work, from nursery or a childminder? Could he have been with another child who has been lashing out and he's trying it for size?

DimpledThighs · 30/05/2007 19:13

have you asked him?

what did he say?

MrsWeasley · 30/05/2007 19:13

try to find out what if anything has happened today.

It may just be that he is so pleased to see you but didnt know who to show you !

Boobsgonesouth · 30/05/2007 19:13

hasn't got 666 tatooed on his forhead and called Damien is he ????

(this IS a joke just in case anybody pins me down in the corner)

maybe he's just having a bad day ???

colditz · 30/05/2007 19:14

find out what he has eaten today. certain sweets make my child react like a dose of amphetamine!

dissle · 30/05/2007 19:14

Hasnt had tv on.
been at my aunties, crackers and cheese, apple, cherries, potato waffle.

Nothing specially loaded with e numbers etc.

Water to drink.
He is just especially agressive tonight, maybe he has missed me all day while ive been at work and just wanted attention. Bless, we have been practicing writing together. In between we have had gorgeous cuddles.
Dont know why he is like this but seems to be an attention thing.

well in some ways it is a compliment then - just a somewhat violent one!

noonar · 30/05/2007 19:17

um, sounds like just plain attention seeking to me. you just picked him up. it was his turn for attention, not the person on the phone's turn!....you got a little reminder that you were supposed to be focussing on HIM

dissle · 30/05/2007 19:17

He has gone to sleep in his room, i dont accept that "bieng tired" is an excuse for outright violence.

They are such a puzzle arent they kids?

Looking on the bright side,at least he didn't levitate the table and chair into you.
