For a couple of months our DS has become preoccupied with his own shadow. Whilst crawling he looks to one side at his shadow, at the moment he is crawling back and forth looking at his own reflection in a radiator ... just wondered if anyone has experience of anything similar, concerned because he doesn't seem too interested in walking.

Yes- my DS was interested in his shadow and any toher shadow from when he first noticed it. Even now, he always says "shadow" when he sees one. He's 2 but has been like this since he was 10 months. He loves looking at himself in the mirror too and the oven door.

Thanks luciemule - did your ds look for his reflection at every opportunity ?, took ds to library this morning and he spent most of the time crawling around the book shelves trying to find his shadow/reflection in the books ..?!

Hmmm -don't think it was that often but I didn't let him out of the pushchair at that age! He always looks in shop windows.
