We've just had my parents to stay who are very much into immediately pleasing DS and didn't really stick to any rules. Now they've left DS won't listen to us at all, fidgets a lot of the time and hugely fusses if he doesn't get his own way. I'm now on day 4 of this behaviour and I'm starting to feel depressed. We've done explaining to him, consequences, getting cross with very little effect. I'm now starting to feel really depressed. Any advice? I'm so worried about him starting school/nursery in September and having this defiant behaviour.

What was he like before the visit OP?

A very willing chuld - happy to follow instructions, give things a go... Now he is just being silly a lot, not focusing.

Is there a reason that you didn’t feel able to put your foot down while your parents were with you? Don’t worry though, I think if you keep calm and be consistent, normality should return soon Smile
