7 year olds 'playdate'

my dd1 (7) has her twin friends from school coming round tomorrow for a play.
Any ideas on something I could suggest to entertain them, just in case they don't get going by themselves.
It's a new school for dd1 and so she hasn't known them for very long.

Hmmm ... I don't know about girls that age ... only 7 year old boys (soccer in the garden, lego, playstation if desperate). What are they 'into'?

Girls that age usually like to play schools and things like that so if you have books, paper etc thatmight help. Or have some arty crafty things for them to make. If you're stuck, they couldhelp you make lunch/dinner, bake a cake or get out some of your dd's games to play.

Thanks for ideas, they are quite sporty, but I think it's going to rain, Crafty things a good idea but I am really rubbish at that sort of thing.

They'll probably be OK just going to your dd's room and playing. But making cakes is a good idea if not, or has anyone got any birthdays coming up - they could make birthday cards?

DD and her friends love to dress up. I tend to let them go and play in DDs room and call them when its time to eat.

Baking cakes is a good idea, I have a recipe for smartie cookies which is quick and easy if you are interested.

thanks again for suggestions, usually i would just leave them to it,and let them play in dds room. I think it's just because we are still new here i think i am a little more consious of (all of us) making new friends.

Actually they are here now - they are down in the basement forming a rock band with my husband's guitar.
