Moving from cot to bed

My daughter is 22 months and being terrible at bedtime (taking an hour to go to sleep) and we have to be in the room is she meltdown! waking multiple times throughout the night, some people saying transferring to a bed might help. I am scared to as think she will just get out.

Tips please xxx

She might, or she might not. Got to be worth a try though, hasn't it ?
Just put a stairgate on the door to her room so she can't hurt herself elsewhere and you are no worse off. Nothing to be scared about Smile

Have you got a cot bed? You could try it and put sides back on if it doesn't work out? We took the sides off DSs when he was 2 and he started getting up 6 times a night! It didn't make a difference to the way he settled. Now 2.3 and decided last month he was happy to settle.himself to sleep so fingers crossed that might happen for you OP. It was very sudden, I had visions of holding his hand for him to fall asleep as a teenager Grin
