Teething - at what age do I get worried that DS's bottom teeth are not coming through?

Ds is 10.5 months - he has his 2 top teeth and the ones next to those look like they are coming through imminently - but no sign of ANY on the bottom.

Should I be worried - and if so, what do I do? Dentist, doctor? I read somewhere about how teeth can be blocked.

not yet! DS is nearly 15 months and has only just shown signs of having more than one (yes, one) tooth... But now 3 are coming through together. I'm sure your ds will cut his teeth just fine

don't worry just yet - i know of a little girl who had no teeth at 1. My DS who is one next week has two teeth on the bottom and just one on top so it is not uncommon ...

Thanks for the reassurance

I keep reading things which say he should have at least 4 teeth by now and am fed up of people telling me how strange he is to have his top ones first becaue EVERY baby gets their bottom ones first

My daughter is 17 months and only last week got her second tooth. I had visions of taking her for baby dentures!

My friends daughter only got her first tooth when she was 1!! Dentist said this is more commom than we think. My ds at 18mth has more teeth than her now(shes 2.5!!)

My DD (13 months) got her first tooth today. She has about 4 more which look on the brink of coming through as well.

To think I thought DS was a late teether at 9 months
