Co-sleeping to cot

My DD is 7 weeks old and will settle and sleep through the night when she co-sleeps in our bed but if we try and put her in her cot she will not settle. We’ve tried cuddling her to sleep but as soon as we lay her down she wakes up and we’ve tried cuddling her and putting her in her cot drowsy but as soon as she lies down she’s wide awake. Whilst I don’t mind the co-sleeping as it means we all get a good nights sleep and DD seems very happy and content when sleeping in my arms my DH is worried about how safe it is. Any suggestions for getting her to sleep in her cot on her own

Could you get DH to read the safe co-sleeping guidelines?

By the way, we recently bought a separate bed for the child. It took a long time to choose, until we found something, then we need it. Read such omega-center.org/no-idea-what-to-give-for-that-upcoming-baby-shower-give-the-gift-of-peace-of-mind-with-a-baby-playard/ advice. This helped make the right choice.
