Hi all mums,

My sons has severe eczema called atopic dermatitis, I have tried numerous creams using them several times a day, I have been given steroid creams etc. from the doctors but nothing is helping!
Has any one else's baby had this if so do you have any suggestions as to what could possible help? The itching is driving him mad and I feel so bad that I can't help him, he is 4 months old.

Thank you Smile

Ask about 'wet -wraps' and if they might be suitable for your son. They made a huge difference to Ben who used to be covered head to foot in eczema. nationaleczema.org/eczema/treatment/wet-wrap-therapy/

I also bought him seam free baby clothing and night wear from this company. Their range proved itself capable of coping with lots of emoilents and very hot washes and pretty escape proof for a very determined and very itchy young child. Their cotton pj's even made it through all four of my kids.'www.eczemaclothing.com/

We used Oilatum in the bath and Child's Farm extra sensitive moisturiser after bathtime, and Eucerin cream whenever we changed him and this combination really helped.
