My latest problem is my 2yr old son who has a liking for biting (mostly his 2yr old twin brother but occassionally his 4yr old sister. I'm not too worried yet but want to stop it before he goes to pre-school! Any suggestions?

DD is 2 in June and we have had a problem with her biting. Nursery manager gave us some info on it last week.

It appears the key to stopping it is understanding the reason for it.

not sure if my message was clear - there was a link if you clicked on "info" to article on Biters: Why They Do It and What To Do About It

Hope it helps - some of it certainly makes sense to our DD. I'm her main victim!

The carers at our nursery say lots of children do it. Teething and frustration appear to be the main issues.

DS is still biting (8 months now), I'm despairing of it at the moment, I've read widely and tried to put the advice into practice but to no avail. He's only 2 but his friends are becoming weary of him and I'm worried they won't want to play with him any more. I don't think there is an easy answer, after another incident today DH and I are going to re-read the advice and reassess what we are doing and just try and be consistent. What else can we do?
