Good morning peeps!

This is my first post on here and I need help! My little daughter is 16 months and the wee monkey isn't talking yet! She can say mama and dada, but that's it! She's had a hearing test and everything came back hunkydory! We talk to her all the time, read to her daily, play games and try and get her to mime, but no! Is this normal? Being the paranoid mother that i am, i'm terrified something's wrong!!! xxx

Also, when do you start giving them pillows in their cot?

Thanking you millions xxx

Don't worry about the talking. If her hearing is fine then the talking will come when she's ready to do it. Ds is 16 months and he can say mama and dada with the odd attempt at other words but not much else. Dd2 wouldn't talk until she was about 20 months. TBH, from what I can remember, the talking doesn't really take off until about 2. Then you spend most of your time wishing they would shut up for just 5 minutes...

ds didn't talk properly untill he was about 2 so I wouldn't worry yet
