DD can only roll one way

DD is 6 months old. She can nearly sit up, though her balance is not good, so she needs to be surrounded by lots of cushions. For the last few weeks, she has been able to roll from back to front. Unfortunately, she does not like to be on her tummy, and cannot roll back again. This might not sound much of a problem, but is frustrating for her and us, as she rolls over in her sleep, then wakes up crying. We go in, turn her over, only for her to flip straight back! In the daytime as well, as soon as she is put on her gym, or lying down, she rolls over, and then screams until we put her back on her back - only to roll straight back onto her front! What can I do to encourage her to learn to roll from front to back? Has anyone else had this, and how long does this stage last?

you could wedge rolled blanket by her stop her rolling that way we used to do that and put dd close to edge bars! think she will start to do it in her own time my dd did

Look at her arms when she is on her tummy - do they stick out like chicken wings? That makes it difficult to get back on to her back, so you might need to place her arms underneath her and show her how to roll back.

Also try having her on her tummy on top of you while you lie back against furniture, or across your lap with toys in front of her.

its a bit of a catch 22 - she wont have the strength to push over unless she spends time on her tummy pushing herself over!
