OK, so I really should know this, so sorry, but I can't find any non-contradictory advice anywhere else on the internet about foods for a 9 month old...he's pretty good with most things so far, though currently making a fuss about anything on a spoon, and wanting to feed himself, even though he can't really do it yet...so i'm trying to come up with things I can spread on bread (which he loves) so as to make it more nutritious. Are cream cheeses, hummous, marmite, pates OK at this age?
Also, I still can't persuade him to take any water from a cup...I've been offering it at each mealtime for about 3 months now, hoping that he'll get used to it at some point, but he just isn't interested. He still takes his milk from a bottle first thing in the morning, last thing at night, and for a mid morn and mid afternoon snack (which means that he gets the full pint of formula which the doctor's recommended)- any other top tips as to how to encourage cup-drinking? or taking in water in any other form? I did a couple of times relent and add a tiny bit of fruit juice, but that didn't make him any more interested in it either.
Any advice would be gratefully received!
