Struggling with ds8&dd10!!

My god I’m at the end of my tether. Both have absolutely awful attitudes. Ds doesn’t stop answering back even when you tell him to stop talking, he speaks to me like crap. Dd slams doors, acts disgusted with me, speaks to me like crap and winds ds up. I feel like I’m losing the will to live with them. Ds is so Whiney, he literally starts crying over everything.
How do you cope?!

My dc are given 1 chance to rephrase/alter their tone or they go to a set space to think about their conduct until they're ready to apologise (usually the conservatory because it contains no sources of entertainment) - they miss what they miss be that dinner, video calls to grandparents or outings.

Door slamming sees privileges revoked, behave like a toddler and I'll treat you like one!

I don't listen to backchat, I just hand out consequences if instructions are not followed. My dc don't enjoy talking to the proverbial blank wall.

I don't listen to whining either, they can talk to me when they're ready to speak properly - I remind them once.
