Hi, Can someone tell about their experiences with girls and adhd, please? We have a 9 year old daughter who's struggling. Have talked to GP and teachers without getting any further. Been googling in desperation and adhd symptoms seems to fit.

Hi Bella.
I have a daughter with it. We have been through a lot. You need to fight like a lioness to get help. We didnt work out there was a problem until she was 16. Thought she was just lazy poor kid.
Our gp wasn't interested. CAMHS weren't interested. Finally had to go private. It was expensive but worth it. diagnosed immediately. Saw consultant privately for about a year then was able to transfer to the nhs. Now takes medication and things are a lot better. But its complicated and its for life. If you want to pm me with questions I'll try to help. First off check out Jessica McCabe's TEDX talk "How to ADHD" on YouTube.
