Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of advice really.

I’ve been taking my 12 month old DD to different baby groups since she was a few weeks old.

Did a term of baby swimming, been going baby signing since she was 4 months, sensory class also. On top of that I’m always out and about with her... shopping, eating out, walks, visiting family etc.

She has recently become really unsure about everything... hates soft plays just clings on to me, even if they are really quiet, doesn’t like baby groups (apart from baby signing which she’s been going to since 4 months).

She’s always been unsure around other people (loves watching children similar age though).

Is this just a phase? Is this common?

Not sure whether to preserve?

I’ve signed up for a couple of taster sessions at new baby groups.

Thanks

Total phase. Mine went through the same thing. Just wanted reassurance and I kept with the exact same routines each week. Came out of it after a month and back to being a bit more independent.

Hopefully it’s just a phase then.

Was there any baby groups which your little one preferred?

He really loves the children's centres in the borough. Also, Gymboree is his favourite thing in the whole world. Everyone has known each other for a long time and it's routine for him. The open gyms are great value. Where are you located?

Shy kid, it is common if the kid is shy and unsure. My kid used to hide behind my legs..she’s still only a baby yet give her time to become sure of herself

Hopefully won’t be too long
