DS gets so angry

He's 21 months and the king of tantrums. but what bothers me is that he gets really angry/frustrated at situations. If, for example, DD is crying (which he hates!) you can see it building up in him like the hulk! He then usually needs to hit something a few times then starts crying and covering his ears. If he's in the car seat and can't hit anything he puts his hands in the air and they're shaking and he just screams.

please tell me this is normal toddler tantrums? Should I be teaching him to calm down, or to release his anger/frustration by punching a cushion or something?

Incidentally, DH is the same! Though DS has never seen him get angry.

My ds1 was an angry baby/toddler and is still an angry 4.5 yo! Think it is normal but wish there was a cure! Do you get arching back as well?
