Pulling strange faces

My son, aged 6 has recently started blinking and stretching his face seemingly involuntary.

He does it constantly. Watching tv, eating dinner, at the park. Im worried why hes doing it and whether kids will notice and pick on him.

I ask him about it and he seemed oblivious then he said its because theres a humming in his ears.

Anyone know why this could be.

It could be a number of things, most harmless, but it wouldn’t hurt to have him checked by a gp and have a chat to his school to see if they’ve noticed anything. I only mention gp as maybe his ears need looking at. My dp (41!) does this when his ears feel blocked.
