9mo eating habits

My little one is nearly 9 months, when we started him on food which was baby porridge then introduced jars we never had an issue with him eating he was finishing each meal great, by the time he was 7 months he was having 3 meals a day.
We tried to introduce 7 month (lumpy) jars and he's wasn't having any of it, so we left it a few days tried again still not having it refused to eat, since then we have tried the textured not lumpy Ellas pouches won't entertain them or our meals pureed down with lumps in. But if we give him bits of our food off our plate he will quite happily eat it.

I guess my question is , can I just start giving him our food chopped up or is it not advised at his age. He hasn't got teeth yet either. Sorry for the long post!

My little one completely refused pouches or anything puréed from about 8 months. We just give him what we eat, either in fingers or lightly mashed. He’s 11 months now and he JUST got his first tooth! It’s amazing how much solid food he can eat with no teeth!

Thank you! Definitely think I'm going to see how he gets on with some finger food, he's been teething for around 4 months now and we are still waiting for a tooth to cut bless him

Meant to say... I’m pretty sure with my DS that it was as much about flavour as texture. Once he got a taste of our food he just didn’t like baby food anymore. It is incredibly bland! He’ll still eat mushy/lumpy things so it must be that... We have also been teething for months!
