Terrible twos!

I thought the terrible two's had started at 10 months but at 21 months onite my little monster has become double the trouble! He is into everything, climbing everywhere and has so much energy I think someone is secretly supplying him with speed! Any restriction is met with an uncontrollable tantrum which can last a long time and is very upsetting for both him and anyone unlucky enough to witness it! His speach is poor although he does sign and he seems to be constantly frustrated and wingey. I have re-introduced the playpen but as a naughty step (iykwim) as well as a place of safety as our previously toddler proofed home was no longer safe (pole volting over the couch in and out of dog flaps etc!)
Anyway - advice please dh is getting depressed and I am loosing my mind lol!

We had this with DD2 for her entire age 1, she's now turned 2 and has quietened down somewhat. We introduced the naughtly corner at bout 20 months and sat with her each time. You really have to be one step ahead of her and keep anything she can get at out of the way. Not easy I know. The naughty step brought some order back into the home.

Baby - what exactly do you say when you are putting her in the naughty corner and how long are you there for?
