Crawling - wooden floors?

So my little girl is nearly 7 months and the time is fast approaching when she'll be beginning to crawl. I'm concerned because we have wooden flooring in the living room and I'm worried it will be bad for her knees and not very safe. Any tips or advice please?

We have wooden floors throughout our house with a couple of rugs. When my youngest was learning to crawl I learnt quickly not to put him in trousers as he couldn’t get any grip. Bare legs or shorts were much better to help him get up on his knees. They learn very quickly what hurts and stop doing it. At a year old he went through a phase of banging his head on the rug when he got frustrated. Couldn’t get him to stop. Then one day he did it on the wooden floor, cue floods of tears, but he never banged his head again. She will be fine and adapt to whatever flooring you have.

My ds learnt to crawl on wooden floors! Socks were slippery so avoided those. Rugs!
