6 mo teething molars?!?!!!

I can feel his bottom molars through the gums trying to poke out the sides and as you can see in the photo you can see them too! Is this normal? He is much more whingey than normal and chewing things at the back of his mouth, but doesn't have red cheeks nor does his gums look that inflamed. But he is sleeping awful and not sure if this could be why? Anyone have any words of wisdom or experience?!?

It could be the reason for lack of sleep but there’s also a sleep regression. Add in starting solids and you’ve got a sleepless old mix Smile

I could be wrong but I don’t think they are molars. When my DS got his, they erupted from the side of his gum and not the top. It’s not uncommon for the gums to get tight, hard and white while going through different changes/leaps.
