Advice? Wait, wait and wait some more. My ds looked like his head had been ironed, and then it just started to change shape as he got more mobile and slept in different positions.
The helmets are not recommended by a lot of drs. He will be fine.

Helmets are an unecessary waste of money. Wait and if still flat in 18 - 24 months, consider going to see a cranial osteopath.

You could go and see a CO now if not too strapped for cash - they are best treated before 2 years if poss. The bones of the skull take a while to harden but it's important to keep the sutures (the seams between the bones) 'free' as that allows the bones to sit comfortably and move etc.
