10.5 wks and drooling lots and chewing bib - could he be teething?

For the last week or so he's been drooling everywhere (as well as posseting but this is different - its clear dribble rather than pukey white!) He started chewing his bib loads around the same time, and hes been v. clingy , sleeping more than usual, and whiney. Is it posible he's started teething so early? I cant see any 'evidence'

I think that there is 'movement' of the tooth under the gum quite a lot earlier than anything actually happens, iykwim.
3 mths is early, not not unheard of to cut tetth, but certainly not too early for things to me moving.
All the symptoms you describe kind of teeth-y to me - excpe the sleeping MORE one ... not had that myself (I mean, my kids haven't) - but otoh, could just be that he's discovered HOW to chew his bib etc.
FWIW, ds always got very dribbly and grumpy and very red cheeks anything up to 2 mths pre-teeth. Dd gets slightly out of sorts for a couple of days, but otherwise no symptoms - we recently discovered molars coming through only because I was trying to fish a button out of her mouth

Humm, that's a fat lot of help, isn't it?!

My DS became VERY dribbly at about 3 months - lasted about a month or so (I think!) then stopped. He actually only got his first teeth at 9 months.

Not much help but it may or may not be teething - could just be a 'phase'.

My 19 week old has been very dribbly and stuffs absolutely anything hecan get his paws on into his mouth to chew on, but no other signs of teeth. If put my fingers in, he chomps down hard on them but gums are not hot and no sharp edges being felt. I would think that maybe yours is having "just a phase" but keep rooting round in his mouth for any signs - like funnyp says - may be movement prior to teeth emerging.

my dd cut her first tooth at 10 weeks. she had the whole lot by 18mths tons of dribbling, putting everything in her mouth, and being wakeful

ok, will just keep an eye on his gums :-)

My ds is 9.5 months and has been dribbling an absolute river since he was 3 months, and chewing everything in sight. Still no sign of teeth!

Much the same a bitz, my 6mo has dribbled like a demon for 3/4 months and chews everything he can get his hands on...still no teeth.

oh lordy, he's now 6.5 months and is practically spewing drool. He gets through (saturates) about 6 bibs a day, and it always leaks through to his tops, even though the bibs are plastic backed. He's also blowing mighty raspberries too - meaning everyone gets covered in it. The monkey - he thinks this game is hilarious. No sign of toothy pegs emerging however.
