How long should I use the carrycot?

DS is 10.5 weeks now, and only a couple of inches shorter than the carrycot on the pram anyway, but wondering if I should just switch to the pushchair and have it reclining now.
He likes to see whats going on, and I don't think theres any need for him to be completely flat anymore. I only use it for an houe or so at a time anyway.
Any opinions?

With ds i used hte carrycot until 4 motnh sish then continued to use it for naps at home until at least 6 months when he looked squashed !

good question. I tried to convert my carrycot to pushchair but the chair has a warning on it saying not for under 6 months. My 4.5 month old dd is still in the carrycot - getting very bored with lying flat!

if the buggy reclines to a virtually flat position then it is probably suitable from birth. I never had a carry cot for dd (now 3) and used to use the pushchair for some of her daytime sleeps.

I think I might give it a try in a couple of weeks when he's a bit longer. The buggy section is in the garage at the mo and didn't pay much attention when we got it, but I'm pretty sure it reclines horizontally so will be fine even though its got a 'bum dip'!
