Hi can anyone please give me some advice my 6 year old daughter is having the most awful out bursts at the moment and literally will say the most vile things to me , I’ve tried taking away iPads etc sending her to her room nothing bothers her tho , she’s the most loving and caring child but just has these outbursts normally it’s when she doesn’t get her own way or is told not to do something, she has an awful lot to deal with as she is type 1 diabetic so I try and make allowances obviously if her blood sugars are to high or to low I ignore the behaviour but when her blood sugars are ok there’s no excuse for it , I’m not sure how I can stop her from being so mouthy when things don’t happen how she wants xx

What kind of things does she say OP?

That she hates me doesn't like me wants a new family wishes I wasn't here x

My dd7 can be like this too. It’s often when she’s tired. The worst thing I can do is flame the fire so I just leave her until she is calm and then I speak to her about it. Normally she is the sweetest, kindest child but tiredness definitely is her weak point.

Oh I totally agree my daughter is the same when she's is tired or hungry lol

I could have written this about my 6 year old
Except she doesn’t have any health issues. We have just had a major blow out and she doesn’t let go until one of us loses it -
If I try to leave her alone - she will follow me out the house - she can be the sweetest and kindest child except when she has the rage -
Watching the replies to your post with interest and hoping this is just a phase
