Moaning baby all day every day

Hi all,

Love my DD to bits... but... she moans all day everyday. She’s 11 months.

She sleeps throughout the night, naps well, eats well but her moaning and clingyness is constant.

She’s always been like this!

When I spoke to my HV a few months ago she just said some babies are more vocal then others.

Is it true that some babies are just like this?

I would love to know because it sounds like you’re describing DS! He’s 7 months old and never stops doing a grunty ‘mmm’. Aaaallll day.

We thought once he could sit it would be happier but it hasn’t helped. He constantly wants to be entertained or carried around.

He has always been vocal. I think it’s just the way he is and we may well never get a word in edgeways ever again.

You could go out more

My DS was much happier when he could communicate and walk. Have you tried signing with her?
