Constipation and Chiropractic Treatment for 3 year old

My 3 year old is very constipated and when he does go there is a little fresh blood now and again, he's very scared to go to the toilet but when he's actually doing it he's fine. We've taken him to the doctors and they said try Movicol laxative powder and then bring him back when you run out. We're still having the same problem with him, we have about a week of Movicol left so we'll be taking him back when this runs out. In the mean time someone suggested seeing a Chiropractor because the nervous system is connected to the organs and the spine is connected to the nervous system and a lining these would make him more relaxed. We've seen the Chiropractor for a assessment and they said his spine does need adjusting in three places, this cost us £35. The Chiropractor now wants another meeting with myself and my partner for 1 and a half hours to discuss the adjustments they need to make and how much its going to cost. I'm very sceptic about this whole method, I think we're going to be sat down for hour and half talking to someone who's trying to justify their job and the they'll take from money from us. Can anyone shed some light on this subject whether it's worth going ahead or has anyone actually tried this method. Thanks

I wouldn’t. Sounds like BS to me. How much movicol is he having? They can have a higher dose if it isn’t working sometimes it just takes a while of them being ok to forget about the scary poo.

My DD used to get constipated and the DS started as well when I put him on cows milk. They now have A2 milk which has helped loads. I would try some different milks, more movicol and make sure he had as much fruit, veg, whole grains and water as possible.
