How many of your DCs had a flat head that self corrected?

...without any special pillows etc and how long did it take?

My DDs head is very flat - she looks like an alien with a pointy top!

Yes, my ds had a very pointy head when he was born, it slowly got more round, but only stopped being flat at the back once he could sit up and spent less time lying on it iyswim

How old is your DD?

The hospital advised us to change our DD's position, letting her lie on her side or tummy so that her head didn't get worse (she was only 3 or 4mths old at the time) We followed their advice, obviously not letting her sleep on her tummy and she looks fine now. Don't know how long it took though.

Oh, no special pillows or anything, tho the HV did recomend we put him the 'other' way round in his cot/on his playmat regularly to encourage him to look both ways

She's 5 months. We do lots of 'tummy' time and sitting u but she hates lying on her side. She sleeps for 14 hours a night plus 2-3 naps in the day, so she's actually on her back alot!

Wow, 14hrs sleep at night, and a few naps during the day, don't say that too loud here. Some of us might get very jealous!

My dd was like that too, and her head is not pointy at all.

Ds didn't sleep through the night till he was over 2.

She wakes for 2 feeds still but they only take 10 minutes a pop. Did your DD go through a VERY flat stage???

Her head was quite flat, but once she wasnt lying on her back so much, it got better.
Don't worry too much about it,she will soon be sitting up and lying on her tummy more and it will sort itself out.

She is also entirely bald apart from 3 hairs (which float beautifully out behind in the bath), so I think this exacerbates the regal look!

DS head was a bit flat, I didn't realised how much it has corrected itself until I cut DS's hair very short. Guess it happen when he started rolling around in his sleep and finding a position he was comfortable with (normally sleeping on the side or tummy down)
