my dd's bottom two teeth have come through, the first one about 2 months ago. she is now 10 months old. have been using branded "milk teeth" toothpaste suitable for 0-6 years but have been reading that you shouldn't use toothpaste for the first two years. can it cause harm if i continue using it or should i just use water. thanks for any advice.

I think thats a load of rubbish tbh.
I would continue using it, otherwise when the time comes for her to start brushing her teeth properly, she wont want to use toothpaste.

Keep using a pea sized amount. Excessive fluoride can cause yellowing of teeth, which is why children's toothpastes contain far less than normal adult brands.

If you are at all concerned then phone your dentist for advice.
