My DS is 2.8 and has "delayed speech". Although his speech has greatly improoved since Christmas, we were offered a place in this course.
I went to the first session this week, and was actually quiet impressed.
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of this course, and was really hoping for some great outcome stories (terrible I know but makes the role plays worthwhile!!!!!)
Anyhelp and advise very gratefully received
Thanks.

I did Hanen, and have the book if you need it, the course really helped me to understand, in fact it was one of them courses which gave me more than it was supposed to, and it made me understand DS more as person.
I did the course as well as a makaton course and then 12 weeks after Hanen DS became fluent; can't say that it was the course that made him fluent, but that is how it happened.
(The Hanen was with the speach therapist in the Dec, the Makaton was the previous Spring of my own back) Anything that I could do to help .. just shout

I'd support what Tufty says.
I'm a salt and a lot of 'our' families have been on Hanen and found it worthwhile.

Thanks so much Tuftyclub and Moondog. I have only been on the first session but it did really make me think about how I am with my DS.
Thanks very much for your support.
