Potty training nightmare..Please help!

We started potty training about 10 months ago, when DD was 2.5. All went well at the start (no accidents after a month), but it has been a bit of a bumpy road due to regressions and then more recently an anal fissure and/or piles which has left the poor thing terrified to do a pooh. She is fine with wees, and she understands that she should do a pooh on the loo, but is scared of it hurting. She holds it in for as long as possible and then goes and hides and does it in her pants. This has been going on for several months now.

She's been to th doctor twice, first they gave her cream for nappy rash, then lactulose and anusol. Have been using these for a few weeks and am fairly sure physical discomfort has gone. But she is still terrified of doing a pooh. We have tried lots of bribery and positive encouragement, and generally are not making a fuss about th accidents, but I am wondering when/how this is going to end.

Anyone else been through this...any tips to get her using the loo again?

Get her comfortable with going in a nappy and work back up from there.

Most important thing is to keep the poo soft. Try prune pouches by Ellas every day or soft prunes/ prune juice.
When you see she us going to do a poo bring her next to the loo and place a potty lined with a nappy on the floor for her.
Progress from there..
