Hi, I’m new here, looking for advice please!
I have a 4 week old little boy who seems to constantly feed. He’s formula fed, and can take up to 31oz a day!! He was last weighed nearly 2 weeks ago and was on the 56th centile (I think?) however he went from 7lb10oz to 8lb15oz in a week. I’m worried about the rate he’s putting on weight.
He’s not often sick, and is feeding every 2-3 hours during the day.
I’m wondering do I try offering him cooled, boiled water in case he’s thirsty? I’ve read so much conflicting info about giving babies water I don’t know what to do.
Many thanks!

Little babies like that won’t eat if they aren’t hungry. As long as you follow his cues and stop if he pulls himself away from the bottle, and don’t jiggle him to finish - so he leads the feeding as much as possible, he’ll be fine.

Babies grow an insane amount in the first year.

I wouldn’t introduce water at this stage - but you can always check that with your health visitor.
