Is my 18 month old showing signs of readiness to potty train

My DD is almost 18 months and very aware of when she needs the toilet. Recently she’s been running to the toilet when she needs a poo. She often panics when the sensation comes and dances around.

She asks to sit on my knee on the toilet.

Today whilst cooking lunch I was busy and found her on the toilet (see photo) doing a poo.

Wondering if I should try to buy a potty/toddler toilet seat and try to encourage her to do it in the toilet?

My son potty trained at 3 years old and was extremely difficult and reluctant with limited understanding before then. So having a young child seemingly understanding the idea of the toilet is extremely new to me.

Give it a go. I started mine at around 20 months, so not much older. One of them took to it within weeks.
You can always stop if it isn’t working for you.
