Being bossy

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or any tips for me.

My 6 yr old daughter has just brought her report home and I am pleased with it. What is bothering me are a couple of comments about her being bossy, they call it "determined" and it causing friendship problems because she likes organising everyone. She has always been an "organiser" but I don't know whether to do nothing and let her realise that it can drive people away or try and talk to her about it. She has a few friends but as she is now moving into junior school and I dont like to think of her with no friends.

I would have a nice conversation about it. She is still young and may not realize what exactly she is doing and that it can effect her friendships. Talking to her might slowly help her to understand the problem. I would keep in contact with her new teacher if she continues to have this problem. That way youll know if it is getting worse or better. My 9 yr old daughter had a talking problem in her 3 grade class. She had wonderful grades but sometimes I would get the comment Lauren has been quite talkative this week. I had many talks over the year with her and her teacher. The next year I made a point to address the issue with her new teacher throughout the year to see if it was getting any better. It did improve. I think the reinforcement at home really helped.
