Hi
I started trying to wean my 6 month old daughter but we’re now coming into week 4 and not doing too great.

Oops posted too early ...
Problem is that I can't get her to take anything from a spoon - everything is rejected or gagged on. I have tried a variety of textures from very smooth to lumpy. I have also tried sweet and savoury but there is no difference.

I have also put each one on the tray and let her get her hands in amongst it.

I have tried finger foods and again anything that goes in her mouth she gags and spits it out.

We're into week 4 and I can say in all honesty she probably has swallowed 3 teaspoons.

Any tips?

Does she still have her tongue thrust reflex?

I'm not sure - she will literally knaw on her toys, high chair straps, anything (non food) she can get in her mouth, so I would have thought this is gone?
Maybe you're right and she still has it ..
