2 year old wont use spoon

I have 2 year old twins and they both refuse to use spoons for any meal and it's driving me crazy.

I still feed them their breakfast, yogurts, mash potato and gravy etc....

They are quite happy using forks, but it seems spoons are just too much. They always have their own spoons so they can try and dip themselves, but nothing....

When I try and let them do it, they go so hysterical as they want their food, I give in. I guess if I flat out refused
To spoon feed them, after a few days they'd do it themselves, but I just can't bare the thought of them being so upset and not eating. (I had to do crying it out to get them to sleep and it's the best thing we ever did, for them and us, but can't face the tears when it's around food)

I think it's a sensory issue more than anything, something about getting messy....or knowing they won't eat it quick enough doing it themselves!

Any advice would be appreciated!
