stepping reflex at 4.5 months?

hello all. been doing what I really shouldn't do -looking on internet and scaring myself silly as to whether still having infantile reflexes could be the sign of a neuro problem. basically i don't think that DS has ever lost the step reflex which as i understand it should have gone by about 2 months. DS has been enjoying bouncing around/being supported standing up for absolutely ages tho. anyone know anything about this/have reassuring experiences for me with their los.

Don't know much about it but a friend in my post natal class had a son who never lost his stepping reflex. The HV said he probably won't bother with crawling and will just get up and walk. He did, at something ridiculously early, like 9 or 10 months. I didn't realise there could have been anything untoward in it.

DD didn't really lose it and always enjoyed being up on her feet all the time from being really tiny. We have her on video "walking" holding on to my hands at a birthday party aaged 22 weeks. And she was up cruising onher own early too, before walking at 10 months. She hasn't any dvelopment problems before or since - she is now 2y3m and is perfectly fine!

DD did lose her stepping reflex, but if she hadn't been absolutely gaga for standing we would never have known -- that is, she does the stepping thing again now, and has since about 4.5 months, but it's not a reflex now, it's a game. We know because there was a while when she just stood with locked knees, but if she hadn't been so obsessed with doing that we might not have noticed.

thanks everyone - guess I should know better by now than look things up on the internet - shall not try and meet trouble and shall put this out of my mind until next developmental checks.
