Has anyone any experience with their child successfully attending ELSA course at school? DS is having rapidly escalating problems with his anger at home and at school. He cannot seem to stop himself from getting so cross that he completely loses it - I mean, total tantrum, screaming and shouting and then crying unconsolably ... he will not tell us where it has stemmed from. I am at my wits end but school have stepped in and he has had one ELSA class yesterday but today at school was again furious and he now has no friends left at all. I am so sad and don't know what to do to help. He was being picked on at school by a few boys but this is now under control but now whatever anyone says he feels is wrong and he is right.
We have told him that when he feels "amber" he must get away from the situation and go to calm down -this is at home and at school.
Any thoughts/help.previous experience would be great. I feel like a totally useless parent and am so upset for him...
