Wonder if anyone can give me advice. Our nearly 7 year old sometimes doesn’t listen to instructions properly, this has now happened at school. Most of the time she will do what we ask her but other times she loses focus. Her last school (overseas) had less kids in the class and they had a TA and there were no problems there. We have no TA here. She will sit down and do her homework and does try her best but sometimes doesn’t follow instructions on the paper and this happened at school the other day, didn’t follow instructions from the whiteboard and therefor got kept in at playtime to do the work properly. She is way ahead for reading and spelling but in other subjects I feel she has went backwards academically since moving back to UK. She’s well behaved in the classroom and at home (just the odd occasions when she’s tiered or hungry). We have just started her on fish oil supplements to see if this will make a difference. I feel shes quite immature for her age and at school she doesn’t seem to form a close friendship with anyone, she tends to play with one kid one day and other kids the next.
