My 9 month old (almost 10 month) is getting earlier and earlier with his wake up times of a morning.
Or started with 7am, dropped down to 6:30, then 6, 5:45 and now we’re on 5am.
He goes to bed at 7pm and is asleep by 7:30 latest, I’ve tried making it so he’s asleep by 7, I’ve tried bumping it up to 8 nothing affects the wake up times?
He occasionally is still waking for a bottle most nights but again that doesn’t change his waking up time at all.
Is it just habit with have to try and break? If so suggestions? Or is there something else, pain? Cold, just wanting comfort? But these 5am starts are starting to drain on me especially since me and my partner have jobs where we can finish work at any time from 6pm-12am. 😴😴

He has 3 naps of a day. But he will not nap for long, he’s always ‘hated’ sleep and faught religiously with that. He has a nap around 8:30-9am (do you think I should try cut this one out?)

Then will wake 45 mins later and nap again at around 11am. Again only for 50-60 mins.
Then won’t nap until about 3:30 for 50-60 mins. Which because of this I can’t nap with him as if makes me feel worse, by the time I’m in a nice sleep and resting he will begin to wake up so it’s almost pointless and it’s best if I don’t even try.

Help! I’m spending my day walking like a zombie😴😂

I had some advice on here when my DS was doing the same and it worked for us. Don’t Let his morning nap be longer than about 30 minutes or they are using it to catch up on night time sleep and you’ll just keep going round in circles. The fact he is wanted to go back to sleep shortly after his first nap would mean to me he is trying to catch up on night time sleep. It, unfortunately is also quite normal for that age to wake early for no reason but they do grow out of it if the above doesn’t work

Thank you! I’ll definitely try that! X

What time is an alright time for a morning nap?

I’ve always done it so it’s ‘x’ amount of time after waking, next nap, bed time. So for your LOs age assuming wake up is 5am I would look to put down for first nap around 8am but would try to drag it to nearer 8:30am if possible. Sleep for half hour then next nap around 12/12:30 for hopefully around 1.5-2hrs then starting bed routine around 6/6:30 for aim to be asleep around 6:30/7
