How to get 14mo to take ranitidine

My 14mo was recently prescribed ranitidine after months of horrendous sleep issues.

The first night I gave it her she slept amazing, since then I can't get it into her and her sleep has been awful again.

When I give it her she just spits it all straight out. I have tried putting the syringe right to the back of her throat and doing tiny bits at a time but she still spits it out.

How can I get her to take it?

Can you add it to milk? DEFINITELY not a health professional and maybe you could ring your surgery and ask them if that's OK?

She's refusing milk too!

I went to a pharmacy earlier and they told me the magic trick. You lie them down, put it in a tiny tiny bit at a time and gently blow on their mouth which causes a swallowing reflex. Worked a treat!
