What can this be?

So since yesterday evening lo has had this skin peeling on his toes. Isn't hurting him, just doesn't look right of course. He had this around Christmas in his hands but it's cleared up.
Could Anyone suggest what it could be? I will be calling the doctors in the morning for an appointment x

Has he had Hand Foot and Mouth (HFM)? Quite normal for the skin on hands and feet to peel in this way quite a long time after having that. For my DD and DP I think it was several months after...I think the HFM and associates fever essentially kill off the top layer of epidermis so it eventually falls off.

Doing a lot of walking?? Or have feet been in wet socks??
