Won't settle at playgroup

My DD was 2 in October and she started playgroup last week. It was her 7th day today and she just won't settle. They said she did for 2 days but then I've had to go and pick her up today because she just cried and cried. I don't know what to do. Was anyone else's child like this and did they settle eventually? She doesn't seem to be ill and she's fine now with me. I can't really take her out of playgroup as I'm studying for a degree and I really need this time to study. Any tips/advice? I'm a single mother after her dad died and she's only ever had me and sometimes her aunty look after her so I know it must be strange for her. It's just confusing as last 2 days she was fine.

Is she going for full days and is she going every day? Did she have many settling in sessions?

She's in Mon -fri for 2.5 hrs so far he hasn't done a whole session. Today was her 8th day in and while she was ok Monday and Tuesday (she started half an hour later than the rest of the kids) today she just cried and they phoned me to collect her.

Hace you spoken to them about their plans to get her to settle?

My ds was like that, after couple weeks he just went in fine one day, and I was left like, wtf!! We only done one morning per week though. X

@EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic all theybaere suggesting is trying different times for her to start. Such as a bit later when there's less children in. Yesterday she went in and she was totally fine didn't even cry once while today she went in and cried for an hour and half. I just don't get it.

She is still young though and I’m assuming that for most of her life she’s just had you. I’m sure she’ll get there and the Nursery sound like they are trying to help Smile
