8 month old short attention span!

My 8 month old responds to his name every time he is called but his attention span is rubbish he will turn around and look at his toys or the remote control for the tv on the side of the sofa is his normal for this age? And if he doesn't want to play 'humpty dumpty' on my lap he will squirm and turn around to get to what he wants.

he's 8 months old OP! Bless you but he's tiny! Some babies are very active and just don't enjoy songs on laps but are more physical. He sounds fine.
