I have to say a huge thank you to all of you who responded to my thread about delayed walking. I was so worried about dd who seemed destined never to take the plunge, and so many of you replied with your tales of children walking at any age up to 22 months or so, and the response I got really reassured me. dd finally walked unaided these last two days, at 17 and a half months, and the look of delight on her face was nothing compared to mine, bless her!!! My first dd walked at 13 months and I had been so worried, but many thanks to you all for the support and positive vibes!!!

well done to your DD

I didn't reply to your thread (didn't see it) but decided to bask in teh glow anyway

Aah, that's lovely! Wish I'd seen your thread as my sister was a very late walker and is, naturally, absolutely fine as a grown-up

Thanks to you all for these replies!! Sometimes it is really hard to confide your fears to people in your day to day life, and it has helped so much to have mumsnet to turn to to both read up on stuff as well as post items on. Big hugs to you all!!!!!

Well done Kate. DD is nearly 25mnths and STILL not walking! It is helpful to have support from MNers isn't it?
