10 yr old son developed a nervous tick

My son who is incredibly creative, imaginative and seems fairly happy - does show signs of what could be anxiety: bedwetting regularly, grinding his teeth when asleep and has this last year began to have a nervous tick. I noticed it a year ago but was very slight. It just recently seems to have become more noticeable, kind of making a hum sound when he's breathing. At the same time I have felt he was more relaxed and happier - I'm confused and worried. He doesn't tell me if there's something wrong- he says he doesn't like me "to make a fuss"..
Im worried the tick could develop just in time for him to begin secondary school.. Anyone with any experience of ticks or advice??
Thanks!

Year 6 in my experience is a very stressful time. Does his school do any mindfulness?

Thanks for your reply- no his school are very competitive and sports orientated- but since I wrote my initial post over the Christmas period it had stopped!! So interesting now to see if it restarts when back at school- but I still don’t know what to do.. he has to go to school..
